All About the Hosts and the Show

Hosts of the "My Job Here is Done" Podcast
An Entrepreneur and Intrapreneur duo with street smarts, 'preneurial' chops, and a penchant for storytelling.

Dave and Kelli met as teenagers and have a life-long story of their own. They took separate and very contrasting career paths, both struggling with challenges and celebrating their career successes in very different ways.

Over the years, they noticed similarities in the stories they shared about the work they did, the people they interacted with, and how business was conducted. Kelli, who "worked for the man like a dog for decades" and Dave, who "started or ran businesses all of his life" quickly realized there is substantial value for others in those combined experiences.

That begged the question – But would anyone else care?
Kelli answered"Well, we don't know for sure, but if I were a listener, I would want to experience some a-ha moments and be entertained."
Dave answered"Yes, I wish I heard these stories while growing my career; I could have used a couple of WTF lessons for sure!"

Both said – Let's do it! Keep it focused - don't talk at me - and make it fun, short, and to the point.

The "My Job Here Is Done" Podcast is the result. It doesn't matter if you're a savvy and super-cool entrepreneur, kind of like your host Dave, or the hard-working super-smart intrapreneur like host Kelli - My Job Here Is Done - is for you. Ultimately, you're either building a great business or moving up the career ladder of success, and we absolutely know we can help! Why not follow us?

Dave

Meet Dave, the Entrepreneur

En·tre·pre·neur (noun): a person who dreams about changing the future for the better and then organizes and operates a business or businesses, taking on greater than normal personal and financial risks to do so.

An electrical engineer at heart, a former Top 40 disc jockey (ah, now you get the podcast angle), and an entrepreneurial sophophile, Dave has been running businesses and advising company leadership for over 30 years. He's worked in the technology, aviation, manufacturing, and software industries starting new companies, and as executive leadership for others. Like most who dare to try, Dave had his fair share of successes by surrounding himself with smart people.

For example, Dave took one of his companies from a small start-up with two people through a successful international IPO with over 200 employees. But there have also been failures and disappointments along the way, and those are the ones he loves to talk about the most. He says that's where "hurting now helps later." At My Job Here Is Done, Dave explores those experiences along with the trials and tribulations of others he has known over the years - all with the hope that these stories will give you an advantage over your competition.

Today, Dave is a consultant for leadership in growing companies, as he says "that are unafraid to declare themselves the winner." He loves marketing, selling, and doing customer service right, often designing new foundations for success in those areas. He also works with investors and PE firms who need due diligence expe… Read More

Kelli

Meet Kelli, the Intrapreneur

In·tra·pre·neur (noun): the flip side of an entrepreneur, this is an individual who shares the motivation and drive of an entrepreneur but works for someone else’s business.

As an intrapreneur, Kelli enjoys the freedom to innovate and advocate from within without being confined to the boundaries of a traditional employee. Kelli is a life-long learner and innovator who spent most of her life working in healthcare and education with two driving ambitions—her career and her family. As most can appreciate, that’s a delicate balancing act that Kelli adapted well for her unique situation.

She was always career-driven, respected by leadership, and poised to climb the ladder fast. But that’s not always possible, and in her case, the family needed to come first and did for many years. Although she put her career on hold to raise a wonderful family, she went back to college when the nest was empty to complete her undergraduate degree and went on to earn her MBA while still working full time.

Today, Kelli provides an insider’s view of how executive decisions impact or influence ambitious career-minded professionals within companies. Over the years, Kelli observed the complexities of the business world and developed a greater understanding of how intrapreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs can distinguish themselves and drive valuable change from within. She runs a consulting firm that provides hand-picked expertise to tackle challenging business problems or projects.
